In order to give that vivid look to our eye lashes, eye lashes or fake mascara are used. Both these options are not very natural in nature and have some substance of superficiality in it. There are though some natural remedies used by people which helps them to grow thick lashes.

  2. Plain Castor Oil
  3. Petroleum Jelly
  4. Peels soaked in Castor or Olive Oil
  5. Green Tea
  6. Lemon Peels that are soaked in Castor and Olive Oil
  7. Shea Butter for Eyelashes
  8. Serum for Eyelash
  9. Biotin

There are certain home remedies which if followed religiously can make a huge difference in the appearance of the Eyelash.

1.Castor Oil for Eyelashes:

Castor Oil is known to contain fatty acids which help in the growth of hair to be thicker and longer. These Oils are used to nourish the cells present in the hair. There are other basic Oils that can be added which has antioxidants that are known to manage the health of the lashes by making them thicker. They increase the circulation of blood in the skin which as a result increases the growth of lashes.

Things you need:

  1. Take around 1 to 2 drops of Castor oil
  2. Mix it with one drop of lavender oil, neem oil, or rosehip oil, or tea tree oil.
  3. Take a mascara wand or a Q-Tip
  4. Mix all these oils together and apply it on your lash carefully.
  5. Leave the mixture overnight
  6. There are other types of Oils that can be mixed in place of Castor Oil.
  7. It is important to use this mixture on a daily basis to get thick, long lashes within two days.

2.Blend of Castor and Olive Oil:

Both these Oils are known to make a heavenly combination for the growth of lashes.

Things you need:

  1. Take a few drops of Olive Oil
  2. Take another drop of Castor Oil
  3. Take a Q-tip or a mascara wand.
  4. Mix both the oils together
  5. Apply the blend of both the oils on the lashes every night before going to bed.
  6. Wash your face the first thing in the morning

3.Lemon Peel soaked in Castor and Olive Oil:

Both these Oils are primarily used for the thickness and growth of lashes. Lemon Peel is known to contain Vitamin C and C which acts as a helping agent.

Things you need:

  1. Get one lemon and start peeling it off
  2. Take ¼ cup of castor oil along with Olive Oil
  3. Start peeling lemon into small pieces and gradually add drops of oil
  4. Apply this mixture on your eyes before going to bed.
  5. This should be followed every day so that lashes feel thicker and longer.

4.Petroleum Jelly:

Petroleum Jelly if applied on the lashes on a daily basis before sleeping can enhance the growth of lashes which makes it stronger and thicker. It acts as a best lotion to apply on your lashes.

Things you need:

  1. Petroleum Jelly
  2. Rub it on your fingers and then apply it gently on the lashes
  3. Do it every night before going to bed.

5.Green Tea:

Green Tea is known to be rich in antioxidants which helps in the fast growth of lashes and help them to grow longer which gives them this thick look.

Things you need:

  1. Take 1 tablespoon of green leaves
  2. Take a warm cup of tea
  3. All these leaves to warm water and keep it still for two minutes
  4. Wait this the water is cooled down
  5. Apply it on the lashes and keep it like that for the night
  6. The mixture can be stored in the refrigerator in the air tight container.
  7. The same solution can be used for about 3 to 4 days.

This process should be followed once in every day.

6.Using Shea Butter on Eyelashes:

Shea Butter was used in Africa extensively to improve the quality of hair because of the presence of Vitamin A and E.

Things you need:

  1. Take an organic Shea Butter
  2. Mix it on your fingertips and then massage it on your lashes
  3. Keep it like that for the night
  4. It is advisable to use this every night for it to be extremely effective.

7.Using Vitamin E on Eyelashes: 

Vitamin E is known for its content of antioxidants which is known to increase the flow of blood around the hair follicles.

Things you need:

  1. Take capsules of Vitamin E
  2. Prick a capsule of Vitamin E and take the oil present on it on the bed of your eyelashes
  3. Leave the solution for about 3 to 4 hours.
  4. This needs to be used daily, in order to feel the effect.

8.Serum for Eyelash Growth: 

This serum is used to nourish the hair as well as the hair follicles which then helps in the growth of hair.

Things you need:

  1. A tsp of Castor Oil is enough
  2. Add about two to three to four drops of lavender Oil
  3. Take an empty bottle of mascara and apply this serum religiously to get those thick lashes within a weeks’ time.

9.Using Biotin:

Unlike all the remedies mentioned above, it is rich in Vitamin H which is an important part of the physiological process. It helps in the promotion of the hair growth which contributes to the thickness of the hair. Sometimes deficiency of this vitamin can cause hair loss or in some case thinning of the hair.

  1. Take Biotin supplements orally on a daily basis.
